Shrine Center Facility Information
Completed in 1994, the building combines a clean, modern appearance with
classic Middle Eastern appointments throughout.
We have a prestigious location, with ample free parking only minutes from
Portland via I-5 or I-205 freeways and equally convenient from Salem or
points in between. Our building is directly across from the Mercedes
dealership in north Wilsonville.
“Tri Met”, available from the Portland metro area, is the local mass transit
light rail and bus system, with a similar bus system from Salem, the state’s
capitol to the south.
Three nearby motels, two within walking distance, may offer group discounts.
Lobby
As you enter the Center, the spacious lobby with its colorful appointments
and decor is a great place to greet your guests or register your
participants. All areas of the Center have access for those with special
needs, with an elevator to the second floor.
Harrington Hall
As you enter the building Harrington Hall is to your immediate left. The
mezzanine area of 897 square feet has an eight-foot ceiling, which opens
into the main hall, with its beautiful carpet of deep purple with accent of
gold moon and stars. The main hall is 3,944 square feet measuring 58 by 68
feet with 19-foot ceilings. The center of the room is very distinct with
four large columns extending to the ceiling.
Stage
The stage area measures ten by 30 feet, and we can provide many different
levels of staging. There is a tiled dance floor 24 feet square with rotating
mirrored ball above.
- There is a full service bar as well. Rest rooms with
handicapped access are close by.
- The total combined area of Harrington Hall is over 5,000 square feet.
- Room capacity allows 450 people for auditorium style seating and 320 for
a dinner, with round tables available.
Audio Visual
For your audiovisual needs, there is a 12-foot square retractable
projection screen, 2 wireless hand-held microphones, and 3 corded and 6
wireless microphones. The superior sound system includes tape player, CD
player and AM/FM radio.
Commercial Kitchen
A modern, full service kitchen is a step away from the main hall. The
kitchen features a commercial gas stove, warming ovens, large
refrigeration storage, ice machine, coffee machine, and food preparation
and dishwashing areas.
Second Floor Rooms
Ascending the Grand stairway to the second floor gives your guests a
view of the surrounding beauty of the area and the beautiful etched
glass Shrine symbol, which is lighted at night. Accessible by stairs or
elevator, there is an historic Shriners museum and lounge (for use by
our members only). However, many second floor rooms and areas are
multi-functional, limited only by your imagination.
Close by is a smaller room of 414 square feet with capacity of up to 59
people and is often used as a small dressing room, or bride’s room for
weddings.
The upstairs lounge is a great place for your guests to sit and relax
with refreshments, for conversation or for a small musical group to
provide soft music. The room has a serving counter with sink, ice
machine, refrigerator and microwave oven. It measures 23 feet square and
seats 20 to 25 people at small round tables. This is also a good
location for a small buffet and bar set up. A soft drink vending machine
is nearby.
The upstairs East room is the right size for smaller events, measuring
35 by 43 feet for a total of 1,500 square feet.
A portable serving bar is available in the room, which is perfect for
small gatherings and quiet conversation away from the downstairs Main
hall.
It has maximum auditorium seating capacity of 100 people and conference
table seating for 40. Many civic organizations utilize our building for
meetings or seminars. (The virtual tour of the building shows how the
Wilsonville Rotary club converts the room for their monthly meetings).
Outdoor Events
The upper parking lot of the Center can be used for outdoor events and
overlooks a small park-like-setting with trees and grass. The
surrounding parkway allows free on street parking as well.
