fellowship and
fraternity, the
Al Kader Desert
Patrol practices
maneuvers and
learns drills
for their many
performances.
Providing
security and
assisting at
Shrine events
like the Food
Caravan, the
Circus Kick-off
Carnival and the
E/W Football
Game are also
included in
their duties.
The Desert
Patrolmen are
proud recipients
of many awards,
trophies and
recognition over
the years for
their
participation
and skill with
their rigs. To
help defray some
of the expenses
involved with
the upkeep of
their ATV's, the
Desert Patrol
members and
their Ladies
wrap Christmas
gifts each year
and work
together on
various other
fund raising
projects.
If you're
looking for a
fun-loving,
active group;
the Desert
Patrol is the
one to join.
Bring your Lady
and drop in to a
potluck meeting
on the first
Monday of every
month (July and
August excepted)
at the Shrine
Center. We meet
in the East Room
upstairs and we
always have more
than enough food
and fellowship
to go around.

Oregon Charitable Checkoff News
Since 2005, the hospital has participated in the Charitable Checkoff Program, a statewide program for Oregon taxpayers to designate all or part of their tax refunds to support the hospital's Orthotics and Prosthetics program.
